The clubs annual exhibition of member's photographs is on display at Crosby Central Library from 20th August until 10th September (see Home page for library location). 
The annual inter-club print battle between Crosby, Formby, Maghull, Ormskirk, and Kirkby took place at Maghull's club room on 21st February 2011. This competition features a selection of 10 prints representing each club, which are then scored on a knock-out round basis. The judge, Ian Stewart, commented on the overall high standard of the entries and after a close run battle the winning club was announced as Crosby!

Crosby Camera Club member, Stuart Taylor, has been awarded his Licentiateship to the Royal Photographic Society.


The annual inter-club print battle between Crosby, Formby, Maghull, and Ormskirk, took place at Formby's club room on 18th February 2010.
This competition features a selection of 10 prints representing each club, which are then scored on a knock-out round basis.
The judge, Gordon Jenkins from Chorley PS, commented on the overall high standard of the entries and after a close run battle the winning club was announced as Maghull, followed by Crosby, Formby, and Ormskirk respectively.
Congratulations to Crosby Camera Club member Marjorie Burleigh for being awarded First Prize in the Liverpool University Art Group Exhibition 2009 with a creative photograph of the Antony Gormley statues on Crosby beach. The exhibition is open at the Victoria & Albert Museum, Liverpool, until 16th December 2009.
Liverpool Cathedral has launched it's first photography competition (Closing date 14th August 2009), which is open to people of all ages and abilities. The theme is "My Cathedral" and entries must feature the cathedral in some way.

The final judging of the 2008-09 Inter-Merseyside Competition took place at the South Liverpool Photographic Society on 21st May 2009.
This competition features a selection of prints and slides representing several clubs throughout the Merseyside area. Over the course of the "club season" each qualifying club takes it in turn to host/judge the competition and on the final night all the marks from each club are accumulated to determine the overall scores.
This year's competiton was a particulary close run event with victory for Hoylake - finishing just 2 points ahead of second-placed Southport.

Crosby finished in 5th place with 1007 points.

Congratulations to Keith Fisher for his entry "High Tide at Crosby" being awarded SECOND place in the finals of this competition.
The finalists are on exhibition at the Connolly Gallery, 3rd floor, Contemporary Urban Centre, Greenland Street, Liverpool L1 0BS, until 4/12/08 (Gallery open 11am-6pm, Tuesday-Sunday).
This competition is being run by the University of Liverpool as part of the Capital of Culture 2008 programme of events. The competition aims to explore and capture images that reflect one of our most valuable resources - WATER.
The competition closing date is 30th Sepbtember 2008 and all entries must be submitted online. Finalists work will be showcased in an exhibition taking place at the end of the year.

Congratulations to Ray Hurst for having a print accepted for the Mono Print Folio, and also to Rona Mason(2) and Peter Eggington(1) for their acceptances in the Slide Folio. In terms of the Club Overall Performance, Crosby finished 24th (out of 60). The Annual Print Exhibition is currently on show at Astley Hall, Chorley until 20th July.

This year's competiton was a particulary close run event ending in a draw between Southport and St. Helens, who have agreed to share the trophy for 6-months each.
